Choosing sliced Ibérico ham for Murska Sobota? Start with the category, then check what comes in the pack. At Jamones Paco Heredia you can compare two Altanza 80 g packs: Bellota 100% Ibérico and Cebo de Campo. Both are machine-sliced hind-leg ham. They share a convenient format, but the names describe different products rather than interchangeable versions of the same ham.
Acorn-fed and outdoor-reared Ibérico ham
Bellota refers to acorn feeding during the montanera season; on the first pack, 100% identifies the Ibérico breed percentage. Cebo de Campo is the Spanish category for pigs with outdoor access, fed mainly on cereals and legumes. The actual packaging photo for the second pack states 50% Ibérico breed. This comparison therefore involves two differences: the rearing and feeding category, and the breed percentage. Neither one alone explains the entire price difference. Choose by the full product description and keep the packaging to check ingredients, allergens and storage instructions for that particular reference.
Compare cebo, cebo de campo and bellota on the product pages. The Ibérico percentage describes the breed; the category describes feeding and husbandry. Gran Reserva Duroc is a separate selection and is not Ibérico.
Two packs with the same net weight
Each pack contains 80 g net of machine-sliced ham. You do not need to order a slicing service for a whole leg or set up a ham holder to use this format. If you order several packs for a tasting, keep the two references identified and follow the packaging instructions when preparing to serve. An 80 g pack does not establish a fixed number of servings: that depends on the rest of the meal and your presentation. You can also browse whole legs and other sliced products in the collections. Check their individual pages, as the format, cut and contents may differ.
