A home ham tasting works best when each product has room to shine. A small, clearly labelled selection served in stages makes it easier to discover what you enjoy and choose your next purchase with confidence.
Start by comparing cebo, cebo de campo and bellota. Three 80 g packs contain 240 g net; divide them according to your guests and the rest of the meal.
Decide what you want to compare
Choose between comparing categories and comparing cuts. To explore categories, bring together cebo, cebo de campo and bellota. To compare cuts, choose jamón and paleta from the same category. Changing cut, category and slicing method together makes the differences harder to interpret.
Before you buy Spanish ham, read its full designation. Bellota and the percentage of Iberian breed describe different things. Gran Reserva Duroc is another option in the catalogue; Duroc is not Iberian. Our buying guides explain these distinctions.
Choose a selection you can identify
Our 80 g ham and shoulder packs let you combine products without buying several whole legs. Three packs contain 240 g net and four contain 320 g. Divide this between your guests according to whether it is a small tasting or part of a meal; a pack is not a fixed serving.
A simple starting point is one pack each of cebo ham, cebo de campo ham and bellota 100% Iberian ham. Check current prices and availability on their product pages. These are separate products, not a ready-made bundle.

Use a separate plate for each product and keep the packaging to identify it. Follow its storage and serving instructions, and open only what you intend to use. Arrange slices loosely so they are easy to pick up.
Offer water and plain bread. Serve tomato, olive oil and other accompaniments separately so guests can taste the ham on its own first. Notice aroma, texture and how the flavour lingers without turning the tasting into a test.

The selection follows the Jamones Paco Heredia catalogue. Editorial photographs illustrate formats; check the collection for current products and their details.
Compare ham and shoulder in a second round
Explore our Spanish cured shoulders and sliced products if you want to compare cuts. Jamón comes from the hind leg and paleta from the foreleg; the terms are not interchangeable. Write down the exact product you enjoyed so you can order it again.
Our 80 g ham plates offer another presentation. Check the slicing method: plates labelled knife-effect are machine-sliced. The type of packaging does not imply hand carving.
Complete the spread without hiding the differences
For a second course, add Iberian charcuterie or sliced charcuterie on separate plates. This keeps the ham tasting clear while letting everyone combine flavours afterwards.
Considering a whole leg for another occasion? Compare Gran Reserva Duroc, cebo, cebo de campo, bellota 50% Iberian and bellota 100% Iberian. Choose by designation, format and budget rather than the photograph alone.
Check the order before inviting your guests
Check delivery options for your destination and distinguish preparation time from transport time. If you need the order for a particular date or want help choosing quantities, ask Paco before ordering. Our tomato and ham toasts make a simple accompaniment.
