Ibérico chorizo for Hilversum: sliced pack or whole piece
Would you rather open a sliced pack or cut chorizo yourself in Hilversum? Jamones Paco Heredia distinguishes two purchases: Altanza Bellota 100% Ibérico chorizo, machine sliced in an 80 g net pack, and whole Bellota 100% Ibérico chorizo weighing 500–600 g net. They are separate references, not two sizes of the same package.
The pack: a defined small quantity
The Altanza reference contains 80 g net already machine sliced. Check its name and packaging photograph before choosing units. This is chorizo, not ham or cured pork loin. Choose a small unit without cutting a whole piece, and follow its own packaging instructions for storage.
The whole piece: choose your slicing
The other reference is sold whole at 500–600 g net. Consider whether you want to control slice thickness and how much to cut each time. The weight range is not an exact weight shared by every piece. Consult its page and label rather than transferring information from the Altanza pack.
