Two product pages can use different names for the same type of cured pork loin. The useful question is what each complete description declares. Compare cured loin without treating one word as a quality grade or confusing it with another cut.
Spanish rules accept caña de lomo and lomo embuchado as names. The name alone does not establish breed, feeding, weight or presentation. Check each separately.
Do different names mean different products?
Spain’s general meat-product standard accepts caña de lomo, lomo embuchado and lomo for this preparation, subject to specific standards. The Ibérico standard also includes these variants. Replacing caña with embuchado therefore does not prove that one is better. The official sources appear at the end of this section.

Read the complete product designation
When comparing two products, record the full designation, followed by declared breed and feeding details where relevant. Do not infer acorn feeding, Ibérico percentage or curing months from the pack colour. If a product is replaced, open the new page instead of transferring the previous product’s information.

Lomito is not simply a commercial word for a small caña: the general standard connects it with cured pork collar. A whole loin and its slices, however, can be formats of the same product type. Compare prices using the net weight you will buy and check whether the price is per pack or per piece.
